LAXMAN KOSALA IDDAMALGODA
CO-FOUNDER | DIRECTOR
NATURE LOVER | ESTATE PLANTER |TRAVEL LOVER | NATIONAL GUIDE
NATURE LOVER
Kosala still remembers how as a child he spent most of his time in secular places as the atmosphere and environment brought about vitality to his mind, body and soul. His fondness for the boundless calm of secluded natural environments off the beaten track instilled a wonder at the mysteries of the universe and an intense fondness for Nature. He believes that with the immense and diverse capabilities of Mother Nature, we are compelled to live our lives on a sharing basis with Her.
ESTATE PLANTER
It is this love of Nature that drove him to seek a career as an Estate Planter specializing in Tea and other minor crops; a career that rewarded him 27 years of hiking amongst the mountains and forests whilst being serenaded by the sights and smells of the local flora and fauna
TRAVEL LOVER
In his spare time, Kosala enjoys travelling around the Island with his Family, experiencing new natural vistas, sharing his knowledge of the history or cultural significance of the places he visits and above all allowing the natural gifts our Island has to offer enrich his life.
NATIONAL GUIDE
After his retirement, he was instinctively drawn to Tour Guiding as a profession as his years of working in the Estate trade instilled a sense of activeness and a desire to share the phenomenal beauty of Sri Lanka’s natural resources with the world. To further this goal, Kosala trained to become a National Guide where he honed his knowledge not only of the rich diversity of Sri Lanka’s natural wonders but also that of its history and archeological significance.
